Prophecy of Arcadia is a fun and action packed read! Our main protagonist, is "normal" teenage girl who unknowingly holds the key to saving Arcadia, a planet that lies far away. Her "cousins" are her guardians and protectors. All of the these characters try to live and enjoy a regular life filled with school, romance, and parties while danger lies on the front.

The characters in the novel are likable especially Alexia and her "cousins". Each one of them brings their own personalities to the story making the dialogue funny, intense, and sweet. Though they have their differences they always manage to stick together and save the day with their awesome superpowers!

The entire novel is consistent and will keep the reader entertained with something new that lies in each chapter. The overall sci-fi/alien planet aspect was also intriguing and the ending will have you wanting more.

I enjoyed the premise of The Prophecy of Arcadia. I think the characters were great, but the story seemed to focused on them, and not the plot line.

I loved every single character. We get multiple points of view so that we know what is going through the characters’ minds. Each character has their own issues going on, and they don’t know who to believe or trust. It seemed like the book was zeroed in on them and whatever crisis they were going through at the time. I felt like I was watching a show on the CW. (Totally not a bad thing.) I love Alexia. She doesn’t know the truth of what’s going on, but she still manages to stand up for herself. Samantha is strongwilled, and loyal. She loves hard, and tries to keep a level head. Matthew annoyed me most of the time. But that’s because I felt he was acting selfish at times.

I like the premise of the book, and this is a great series beginner. I would have liked to know more about the Arcadians, and what the inner workings were. These things were glossed over. I hope that we get more detail in the following books. And holy mother cliffhanger! With an ending like that I want to know what happens next. ( )

5 of 5 stars

I give this book 4 1/2 stars! It was awesome! I received this book in exchange for an honest review and it honestly rocked! There were times that I thought I had the story completely figured out and then something would happen to completely throw me off track. I really liked that about this book, the "not knowing for sure what was going to come next" factor. I also loved the way the author wrote this story through the POV of the 3 main characters Sam, Matthew and Alexia. I loved Sam and Matt's story and their relationship and I even loved Alexia and Ethan's characters.... and then you throw in all of the other cool cast members (Zach, Sean, Mia and Melanie.... along with Ethan and Julian and Lucas) and you have a "cannot put it down" book! I seriously took my time reading this because I did not want it to end for fear that I will have to wait a year to read the sequel. But I will be reading that sequel for sure! And the ending of this book is probably the one thing I NEVER saw coming! We are really left hanging at the end, I am not going to lie, like in the worst way..... but that is brilliance on the authors part. The way Soars was able to completely throw me for a loop with this ending speaks volumes, because that rarely happens anymore for me. I cannot wait for the sequel and will definitely be awaiting it's arrival.

Here is the synopsis for you from Goodreads......

Cut off from their resources, the Arcadians turned to Earth for help. A group of Arcadian explorers discovered a Prophecy that claimed their salvation lay in the hands of two children from Earth. But Samantha will soon realize that nothing is as it seems. Someone is trying to prevent the Prophecy from taking place and the prophecy boy hasn't been found yet. There is also a new drug circulating at school that is turning students into freakishly strong menaces.

To make matters worse, distractions keep getting in her way. Such as her love/hate relationship with her “cousin” Matthew. Or her confused feelings toward popular and mysterious Julian. She wants nothing more than to be free to live her life. But the survival of Arcadia depends on her and her friends. Free will is not an option.

*Note from the author: Due to strong language and mature content this book is recommend to readers 17+. This is a Sci-Fi/Paranormal Romance novel.
