Except it wasn't, IMO, as good. The romance didn't work for me--mostly because there was never any reason given why. The plot was way too simple and I never bought the whole 'fool everyone with makeup' bit--nor the you only get a couple of days training how to be royal bit. What almost made me 2 star this one was that I saw every plot twist coming. Down to the 'resurected' brother. After some thought, I don't know if I would classify the book as much YA as grade school. Once I decided it fit grade school, it deserved the 3. I'll read the next books, but by no means will I again pay hardcover prices. This will be a paperback purchase for me next time.
