The map of the Ottoman Empire ca. 1776 in my copy of Power, Faith and Fantasy covers some pretty significant territory, even if the North African portion was largely desert. It may have wobbled, but it didn't fall down. Power, Faith, and Fantasy: America in the Middle East by Michael Oren
read a couple of years ago when first published I am reading Power, Faith and Fantasy by Oren and was wondering if anyone else had read it or anything else by him.
