Not an easy read, demands and deserves patience and love. Has some extremely difficult topics, in which Katy is highly respectful towards and does complete justice. You WILL fall in love with the Asher the wounded soldier. The purity of their budding relationship, the changes in their personalities, how they view themselves and in how the world views them. An exceptional read that I highly recommended, with that added flavour of some very passionate moments, some very tender and some moments where you could cry/scream with/at and for Asher and Savannah. An awesome story of two people struggling through hard times finding love and purpose in each other. This is a very intricate story and shows us how important it is to look past the surface and really get to know the person. Recommended read. ( )

Beautiful and touching love story. Well-written and engaging. I was moved to tears numerous times. I also laughed a lot. A real breath of fresh air. A story of love, hope, and overcoming unexpected obstacles that life sometimes throws our way.

ARC won in a Libraary Things giveaway. An honest review was requested in exchange for this book. ( )

The Vixen and the Vet is a charming modern day fairytale.Savannah and Asher are each outcasts in their small town. When Savannah is given a second chance after losing her job at the Sentinel she approaches Asher as the perfect subject for a story. She decides instead of writing about how he was injured in the war and became the town hermit she will tell the story how they fell in love. Complications are bound to ensue. ( )
