Police Inspector Hades Levinger is called out to a crime scene of a religious family who have been found in their apartment, in the quiet suburb of Givat Shmuel (Shmuel's Hill). The suspicion is murder of the children and wife and then the suicide of the husband. Levinger's investigation is to try and find out the motive which results in discovering the hidden secrets.
