It's a forerunner to today's urban fantasy in plot and style, if not in setting. Well worth the time spent. Garrett gets involved in a fake kidnap that evolves into multiple murders. The Stormwarden Raver Styx has departed for the war in Cantard. In her absence her children tries to win free of her influence with abyssmal results; Her son and her ward dead, 200000 gold pieces lost. This is an early Garrett PI story, the characters are not as fleshed out as the later works, and the whole world is not as finely drawn. no reviews | add a review
