It is one reading experience to read any work of fiction on spycraft by an author who is or has utilized good researchers. It is an incredible reading experience to read the novel by Matthew Dunn who spent 5 years in the British Secret Intelligence Service, commonly known as MI6, as a field operative. With his personal experiences of conducting ~70 successful missions and with significant experience of working with highly-specialized units of the British SAS and SBS as well as joint-operations with MI5, GCHQ, the CIA, and BND, there is an authenticity that is unmatched. This novel should top the list for Spy Thrillers and Espionage Novels! ( )

Will Cochrane is back and on another mission when something goes very wrong. As he flees from multiple government agencies and governments he races to find out the truth. Dunn writes in such a way that you want everybody to succeed, Will, his pursuers, his friends, and even the enemy, and not to say too much, they pretty much all do. It’s a great pulse pounding read that will leave you at the edge of your seat.

This is the fourth in the Will Cochrane spy series and as thrilling as the previous stories. Cochrane is part of a mission that fails and becomes wanted himself and he has to keep himself alive long enough to find out what the hell is going on.

The author, a former MI6 field officer, uses his experiences to produce a very fast paced exciting thriller. If you are looking for an exhilarating read and not concerned about realistic situations, this is one to do it. I do suggest reading the others in the series so you know who the characters are though. ( )

Mathew Dunn is the master of spy thrillers.

Will Cochrane is a MI6 operative and his world is about to fall apart. He has become a traitor to the CIA, FBI, and others. On the run, surviving the elements from one country to the next, and no one to trust, he must prove his innocence. Will has no concerns for his own life. He only wants to survive long enough to make the people responsible pay for their indiscretions and betrayal with the ultimate justice delivered by his own hand.

I will not be able to do this book justice. Absolute entertainment is a small beginning. Will Cochrane is an outstanding dominate character. Along with the other members and their secrets, and betrayals has left me in complete amazement. The story moves at an incredible pace. Inside this brilliant story is sneaky, underhanded betrayal, romance, intrigue, and murder. The writing flows so smoothly that you will not be able to put it down. Emotions run on high the entire time. Unending suspense will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

An Extraordinary read. A must have addition to your library. Highly recommended 5/5. ( )

Matthew Dunn provides his readers with the events of an M16/CIA operative, Will Cochrane. Will goes against his orders. He observes a number of Russians who are about to kill a CIA operative and the Russian agent she had been getting information from. He shoots the Russian killers and saves the CIA agent's life.

However, he endangers an important mission and the directors of the CIA and FBI want him dead.

Will shows his integrity and desire to do the right thing in saving his fellow agent's life. The agent reveals to Will that she just learned from her source that there is a Russian mole who is a high ranking person inside the CIA.

Who can Will trust?

He had to get from his current assignment in Oslo back to Washington, D.C. to get the answers. In the meanwhile, intelligence officials tell a different story. They depict him as a rogue agent who is a killer and put out an alert that he's a wanted man, dead or alive.

Will has to rely on his instincts and attempt to get the answers about a project that his superiors want kept secret. He is a well developed character. We see his bravery, resourcefulness and determination to save his life and his career and uncover the mole.

The author, Matthew Dunn, was an M16 field officer and knows his stuff. He writes a believable, engrossing story that is impossible to put down.

Well done! ( )
