Wouldn't it be great to have an ex military friend who helps you plan and purchase supplies over the last few years for a disastrous event that is yet to come? Then when it finally "hatches", he calls to inform you that it's time to go and execute their long awaited plan. However, sometimes, plans do not go as expected.

The main character, Dave, is a published author of several novels and works in a call center during the day. He is here when he gets the word from his friend to "Bug Out". He and co-worker, Porche, must evade police and military forces just to escape from their place of employment. It's a race against time, but many of the pieces are not where they are supposed to be. First step is to rescue his girl friend on the other side of town, but she is not home. Zombies are everywhere!

The book is filled with suspense and readers will not be able to put it down without finding out what happens next. It's short at 161 pages and easy to read - most readers could finish it during a Saturday afternoon. Great job Mr. Reeder!

My only criticism is that many of these series books are published months apart - and thus, lose interested readers for future installments. I wish authors would complete an entire series and then publish all the individual books at the same time - allowing readers to continue purchasing/reading until the series ends. This was a great story - somebody let me know when the next installment is available so I don't miss out. Highly recommended! "Zompac Survivor: Exodus" is definitely in the top ten of this genre!
