Relationships aren’t always easy to maintain, as any of us who have tried will know. Mason and Jax in this story are no exception. While they have known each other for several months, Mason has moved across the country to be closer to Jax, and he even wants to discuss marriage, now that DOMA has been struck down, Jax is more hesitant. The challenge for Mason is to figure out why and doing that while he is busy with his job as park ranger turns out to be anything but easy.

Mason's days aren't easy, and I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry when reading about some of the ways the tourists (or tourons, as he calls them in his mind) get themselves into more trouble than a whole herd of park rangers would be able to deal with. Mason is almost run ragged by the time he gets a break to have lunch with his pianist lover and new boyfriend, Jax. They barely manage to touch upon the topic that is so important before disaster strikes again.

As quite often happens, added danger brings the two lovers more closely together, and I loved how they finally managed to realize their true priorities. If you're looking for a quick, fun story that will probably make you laugh as well as sigh in relieved bliss, then you should give this cute short story a try.
