Despite the title, this is a photographic travelogue of the USA and the world in 1923. We have sections on luxury ocean cruise ships, luxury in airplane voyaging, railroad travel, national parks, natural wonders around the world and historic USA landmarks. There is also a memorial to Warren G. Harding, who died in office at 57, and a section on his successor, Calvin Coolidge. There is a sports section focusing on boxing, a tribute to actresses of stage and screen (Ruth Gordon was the only name I recognized, a babe in 1923) and a section on the 1923 Yankees, with Babe Ruth, and several others unknown to me. This is very similar to the later "Life" magazine, although not as well composed or photographed. An interesting browse of a long-gone era, though. ( )
