There slumber in every human being faculties by means of which she can acquire for herself a knowledge of higher worlds. Mystics, Gnostics, Theosophists - all speak of a world of soul and spirit which for them is just as real as the world we see with our physical eyes and touch with our physical hands. At every moment the listener may say to herself: that, of which they speak, I too can learn, if I develop within myself certain powers which today still slumber within me. There remains only one question - how to set to work to develop such faculties.… (more)

'A true classic spiritual literature. It is one of the best ways I know for opening up one's life to the spiritual realms in a manner that is balanced, integrated, and loving. It is the product of a great soul who stood on the threshold of a new spiritual terrain and pointed out new routes into the interior. This is a guidebook of the first order for any spiritual seeker in our time.'-David Spangler, author of Blessing: The Art and the Practice and Apprenticed to Spirit

'It is not only a personal guide to the sprit, but also a path though self-knowledge to compassionate acton in the world.'-Arthur Zajonc, physics professor, Amherst College, and author of Catching the Light: the Entwined History of Light and Mind

In this simple, readable volume, Rudolf Steiner sets out step-by-step practices for developing the higher powers that lie hidden in all of us. First published nearly a century ago, How to Know Higher Worlds has given inspiration and insight to hundreds of thousands of readers the world over. It has been translated into many languages and has been admired by some of the most brilliant minds of our era.

Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) became a respected and well-published scientific, literary, and philosphicla scholar. He developed his earlier philosophical principles into an approach to methodical research of psychological and spiritual phenomena that has led to innovative and holist approaches in medicine, philosophy, religion education, science, agriculture, and the arts. He founded the General Anthroposophical Society, which has branches thoughout the world.

Well... Forget all teachers... Simply STOP. What is left? That 'which we all are' that is unexplainable yet forever here... is what is left... which incidentally, never left... it is just more subtle and appears to get covered over with the gross-mess of beliefs and thoughts... ( )

Book description
