She heads to Nantucket to start anew and ends up working in an environment that she is not familiar with...the Blue Bistro. She has never in her life waited tables and now all of a sudden she is the hostess for an EXTREMELY popular restaurant that is closing at the end of the summer. The majority of the novel revolves around the events that happen at the restaurant...from the staff to the dining guests. A key component of the story is the interesting triangle between Fiona, Thatcher, and Adrienne. Fiona is the chef of the restaurant and seems to have a unique hold over Thatcher. Despite this hold, Thatcher seems to have feelings for Adrienne. Throughout the final season at the Blue Bistro, these relationships unfold to create a truly interesting story.
Elin Hilderbrand has a unique ability to pull you in and make you a part of the story. Even after I finished the book , I continued to wonder...will Adrienne have a real relationship with Thatcher or would his love/fascination for Fiona always overshadow him? (
