Loading... True Story: A Novelby Bill Maher
None. Bill Maher writes about what it's like trying to become a stand up comic by telling the story of 5 aspiring comedians: Dick, Fat, Shit, Chink and Buck. The names show you the depth of the humor. I think he does a good job showing the process and emotions involved in beginning a comedy career. He also seems to say that funny men, which I'm sure includes himself, are rather stunted in their sexual and emotional maturity. In the area of sex they don't seem to be able to progress beyond 15 year old adolescents. I love Maher's take on politics, but as a human being he and his five comics have some growing to do.
