You will read about a wolf who works together with the fourth little pig to try to clear the wolf's name in this mystery. Things were going well in Fairylandia for a reformed Wolfgang, a.k.a. the “Big Bad Wolf”, until the Three Little Pigs’ houses were vandalized and he is accused. Arrested and released, he reluctantly teams up with Ferkel, the fourth little pig, and as the new “Big Bad Detective Agency” they set off to find the perpetrator. Things get really funny when they question Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella, Goldilocks, Jack (but not his beanstalk) and Puss in Boots. This humorous, beginning chapter book with expressive illustrations will be sure to please children familiar with these childhood fairy tales and maybe shed some new light on the much-maligned “Big Bad Wolf."
Take the Big Bad Wolf and the fourth little pig (didn't know there was one, did you?) and put them together to solve the crime of who destroyed the Three Little Pigs' house. This was fun. I enjoyed the drawings through the story. The story was good. I liked the suspect list and the reasons why they were suspects. Cleverly done. Good for beginning readers. "The houses of all Three (not-so-) Little Pigs were broken into and ransacked, and the Pigs are squealing for justice. So Prince Tyrone, ruler of Fairylandia, drags in the obvious suspect: Wolfgang. The lone wolf has big teeth, sharp claws, no alibi -- and a single day to find the real culprit and clear his big bad name. When Wolf (reluctantly) teams up with the fourth Little Pig to crack the case, the Big Bad Detective Agency -- and an adventure way funnier than your average fairy tale -- is born!"-- provided by publisher no reviews | add a review
