De Lorean's direct style and the controversy surrounding this book's publication grab the reader right away. His conclusions are sound and well evidenced, as he meticulously details the failures at GM. The story bogs down in the middle, though, as De Lorean rehashes facts and falls into irrelevant details about automotive production miscellena. The reader could easily skip the second half of this book and not miss anything important. ( )
