Finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo / Men Who Hate Women and loved it. Can't wait to start the next book, all three are already published in Portugal, on the other hand they are 20 euros each and they aren´t even hardcovers... oh well
So I decided to start first with Sacred Hearts by ...
... and Light, another great anne bishop novel and a great fantasy fix and started The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo or Men Who Hate Women as is in the portuguese and the Swedish. I'm really loving it. It has some of the cliches of the genre, but so far they are not bugging me.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
A real page turner. Will have to read the next book to find out more about Sweden's best computer hacker, the young woman with the photographic memory, Lisbeth Salander.

28. The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo . Forgive me for being cynical, but I suspect the reason for this book's popularity is that it's an impeccably liberal version of every 3-inch-thick page-turning airport thriller, with lashings of graphic violence and sex, fiendishly complicated villainy and ...
Welcome! Nice list. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was one of my faves too!
Thanks. I really enjoyed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo . Just finished another fantastic book that I probably wouldn't have read if I wasn't doing this challenge. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson really does deserve the praise it's had since it was released. Such a shame the author didn't live long enough to enjoy it's success.

I loved The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo when I read it last year.
Started on The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. Enjoying the way the story is building.
I finished the superb The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and I am starting April Lady by Georgette Heyer, very light and frothy. Along with that I am also starting A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini with high expections after loving The Kite Runner.
#91 - jbeast - I am about 100 pages into The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and you are right - it has totally grabbed me. I can't wait to find out how all of this is going to fit together! Very good book.
I am just about to start The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. I have heard some very positive comments about this one so I am looking forward to the read.
30 The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.
Very enjoyable, gripping and well-written thriller. The bits about financial journalism dragged a bit, and I perceived it to be slightly predictable. So a 4/5 rather than a 5. Still, would definitely recommend it.
I picked up three at the library today: The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson, April Lady by Georgette Heyer, St. Agnes' Stand by Thomas Eidson.
In freezing Norrland, Sweden in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo .

Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn
The Given Day by Dennis Lehane
40. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by S.Larsson

We are on our own by Miriam Katin - fabulous illustration

De Mankells zijn ook altijd goed. Is het de eerste keer dat je ze ...

No. 56: Mannen die vrouwen haten (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) by Stieg Larsson
I guess that I will now have to read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo --your are the fourth person today that has posted I should read it! I didn't realize it was Scandinavian--that is the clincher. I probably can't get it for a while from my library--I'm sure the wait is long--but if I don't ...
#115: I have heard a lot of good things from drneutron and TadAD, I think, about The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo , so your mention makes 3 favorable reviews. Definitely one for me to check out. Thanks!
#92 - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson - really enjoyable mystery
Moving on.......one foot remains in Sweden with The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and I now airlift the other foot from Scotland to England (or should I drive?) and change time periods as I begin The Mysteries of Udolpho by Ann Radcliffe.
Listening to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson which is a bit slow so far. I am reading The Crow Road by Iain Banks and just haven't been able to get a nice stretch of time to settle into it in this past week.
Hope it's okay that I started this week's thread! :)
From Audible: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

85) The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
Well, it was excellent. Very good writing with none of that translated-from-a-foreign-language feel (kudos to Reg Keeland on that, I guess). The mystery was well-done, definitely a page-tur ...
TadAD - I definitely think that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is worth the read. And I just found out that it is the first of a trilogy - so maybe that explains why I didn't like the ending. I'll be interested to see what you think.

You've read two that I have sitting on my shelf, waiting to be read--The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and In the Woods . I'm glad to hear that they are both excellent!

I started Interpreter of Maladies last night. It's beautiful, of course. I love Lahiri and don't know why it's taken me so long to go back to her first book. I'm sure it's a fave in the making.

I've broken through last week's reader's block and am now halfway through The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which is a bit slow but quite good.
... going to do something I very rarely do and stop reading it in order to pick up a book that has been calling to me all week. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a step outside my usual genre selections, but it looks fantastic, and I've heard so much about it that I can't wait anymore. Hope it ...
