Reminds me of the part in The Blind Side : The Evolution of a Game where the Baptist mother of the family that the piece centers around gets off the phone with BYU representatives that are helping ... ... is so narrow that it really makes me feel sorry for her and her family.
I'm reminded of the line from Michael Lewis' Blind Side: The Evolution of a Game where Lewis quotes a woman as saying "Those Mormons sure are nice people, even if they are going to hell." ... not a very far cry from "Scrabble Studies" at all.
As an aside, for anyone following along, I'd heartily recommend The Blind Side: The Evolution of a Game, by Michael Lewis.

from The Blind Side : Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis I just finished The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis and am just beginning Erik Larson's The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair That Changed America. I am not a sport enthusiast by any measure, but Lewis spins a great story about the evolution of ... Blind Side : The Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis - An excellent book by one of my favorite authors. Lewis is probably best known for Liar's Poker : Rising Through the Wreckage on Wall Street, his look at his time selling paper for Salomon Bros. during Lew Ranieri's reign. A sharp-eyed ... ... best of his six books, but I'll reserve that final judgment until I finish his latest.
I picked up Michael Lewis's The Blind Side today - that will be my next foray as I take another small break from the intense terrorism thriller genre. CR: They Poured Fire on Us from the Sky
