I love you right up to the moon and back!

Little Nutbrown Hare loves Big Nutbrown Hare so much he wants to show him. But every time he tries, Big Nutbrown Hare tops him. For instance, when Little Nutbrown Hare spreads his arms as wide as he can, Big Nutbrown Hare can spread his even wider.

The same thing happens when Little Nutbrown Hare reaches as high as he can, Big Nutbrown Hare can reach even higher.

Little Nutbrown Hare spends the day attempting to show Big Nutbrown Hare how enormous his love is, but he can never beat out what Big Nutbrown Hare can do. However, that night, right before Little Nutbrown Hare drifts off to sleep, he finds the perfect way.

This is a tender story that celebrates the love of a child. The illustrations are just as sweet as the tale, in this classic children's board book. This can be read anytime, but makes a great bedtime story. To make things even nicer, a snugly, little plush brown hare is included in this gift box.

This five-star set would make a lovely gift for Easter, a new baby, or any other time--an occasion or not. Children through age five will adore this.

Thank you, Candlewick Publishers, for providing Tickmenot with this set to review. Opinions are my own. ( )

This is the copy I checked out from the library, and although it has the envelope slots for the DVD and CD, they are not present. H really wants to eat the book, but as it's a library copy I don't know if I should let her... she does have a crinkle book version of this, though, which makes a kissing noise and says "I love you!" at the end.... which is also when I will kiss her on the head.

Anyway, it's a pity Big Nutbrown Hare never says that one day Little Nutbrown Hare can also jump as high or throw his arms out as wide one day. The crinkle book version doesn't have the competition, just I love you as wide as I can go and as high as I can stretch, so that's the version we'll be repeating. ( )

Guess how much I love you, says Little Nutbrown Hare. Little Nutbrown Hare shows his daddy how much he loves him: as wide as he can reach and as far as he can hop. But Big Nutbrown Hare, who can reach farther and hop higher, loves him back just as much. Well then Little Nutbrown Hare loves him right up to the moon, but that's just halfway to Big Nutbrown Hare's love for him.
