Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 061541253X, Paperback)

Coal By The Sack is the story of the life of Will Headrick, a young boy born to a family living in the hills of Northern Georgia. The true account of a boy, who was admittedly different from most of the people he knew, who was abused as a child, and who, more than anything else, did not want to spend his life working in the mills and factories of the area. He overcomes many obstacles to reach what seemed the impossible goal of going to college and having a normal family life. Will tells his story with humor and honesty. Will Headrick is a sometimes retired counselor, teacher, and minister. He lives in Mobile, Alabama, with his aging dog, Chloe. Dr. Headrick is available to speak to groups and various gatherings on such topics as family, ambition, determination, and faith. For more information, go to www.joyofwriting.org. Will Headrick has also written Porch Ponderings, a book of uncommon thoughts on common topics. Look for the second in the Will and Nita series coming out in late 2010. It is entitled Pale Blue Haunting. Coming in 2011 will be Just One, the third and final book in the series. Visit his website at http://joyofwriting.org for further information.
