I received this book for free from the LibraryThing.com Member’s Giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

I have experienced yeast infections and wanted a strategy to keep them at bay. I always knew that a low sugar diet, packed with probiotics is helpful, and it was extremely interesting to find out about the probiotic content of some foods we normally don’t associate with having beneficial bacteria, such as dark chocolate.

Ms. Hungerford supplies one with an entire arsenal of alternative therapies to treat yeast infections, many that I was not aware of. Importantly, she fully describes thorough details on the diet and detox strategies for Candida.

One of my favorite parts of the book is how to apply the Candida Diet on a budget. This is so significant because I have read many healthy lifestyles books that discuss these elaborate diet plans that basically only the very rich can afford. I always thought this was unfortunate. So, I am thankful for Ms. Hungerford’s efforts to allow all people to benefit from her knowledge.

All in all, this book is a gem for those suffering from yeast infections or anyone just wanting to learn more about Candida albicans. It is a very easy, but worthwhile read. ( )

This is a very accessible book for anybody curious or anxious about what yeast infections are and how to reduce symptoms.

The book is short, concise and easy to understand. It explains what the condition is, describes the signs and symptoms and offers lots of useful tips and recommendations on how diet can help improve symptoms. I found the diet recommendations to be interesting and useful. The author also gives some advice on how to prevent the condition.

This little book answered all my questions and will be useful as a reference book to dip into again in the future. ( )
