This is awesome! Love to go thru and learn new uses for my essential oils!

I've been using essential oils for several years, but almost exclusively with a diffuser. This book introduced me to the benefits of direct application. I especially appreciated the information on base oils and how to choose one. The author focuses on a what she considers a basic medicine chest of essential oils, which is especially nice for beginners who might be overwhelmed by the number of available oils from which to choose. I read the Kindle version and the recipe section was difficult to follow because of formatting issues. The table of contents for the first two chapters was helpful for looking up certain ailments and complaints, but that level of detail is missing for the rest of the book. However, after a bit of tweaking I think this title will be worth a look, especially by those new to aromatherapy. ( )

A brief and helpful review of the history and types of essential oils used for healing and aromatherapy. This book gives how tos on creating your own mixes of oils with different base oils. The book also details how to create mixes of oils for specific ailments. I used to be skeptical, but started using a diffuser with essential oils in my classroom and this is the first year I have not been sick. Every other year I had bronchitis, laryngitis, and colds several times each school year. I have purchased my oils and diffuser from Doterra; however, this book details less expensive ways to create the oils yourself. I would have liked some information on where and how to purchase the proper oils and how to know if they are good quality.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ( )

This powerhouse of a book puts the ability to heal in your hands. I have been a fan of Aromatherapy for years - and I am very glad to add this book to my collection. In fact, I tried one of the recipes immediately and got a great result! ( )
