Stuff like this should be so basic and clear for everyone. I'll not even clarify the difference between Likert and Likert-type scales for you here, since I'd rather you experience firsthand how Uebersax gets in, gets it done, and gets out, in this masterpiece of the "short academic paper clarifying a procedural point" genre.
