Wow....this is a huge book and a great resource for those who have Celiac disease or non-Celiac gluten sensitivity . I can't say I've read it cover to cover, but I have chosen many areas of interest to read more about eating gluten free, and the effects of gluten on the body. My interest in requesting the book was due to the fact that I have been following the paleo diet, and was looking for more info on eating gluten free.
Besides the obvious of telling you what foods to avoid, it also covers topics such as how to shop and read labels, how to safely eat in a restaurant, how to handle other situations away from home. Also what to expect in medical work-ups, and how to maneuver thru the medical world from Drs appts, tests, and hospital stays. There's a ton of resources listed...actual brand names and products that are safe (gluten free), and tons of resources including blogs, web sites, organizations, support groups etc.
The book also includes recipes for food as well as some for skin care type products. It also has info on raising kids with celiac disease.
While I may not use this book a lot myself, anyone who cannot tolerate gluten will find it to be a very valuable resource!

The Gluten Free Revolution is not a book that you just sit down and read but it is an interesting book. I'm not really trying to go gluten free but will definitely try some of the recipes as they sound easy and delicious. I won this from LibraryThing Early Reviewer. ( )

This book is a great resource for people trying to go gluten-free, and even gluten-free veterans like myself. Even though I've been gluten-free for almost five years, I still learned many great tips through this book. My only critique was the book's length; editing some of the text down would make the guide easier for readers to utilize. Overall 4/5 stars; Lowell's book makes going gluten-free a painless and simple transition. ( )
