The main character, Aurora, finds herself returning to Cooper’s Bayou, her birthplace, to settle her grandfather’s estate. While there she becomes immersed in trying to solve the mystery behind her mother’s murder. A cop with his own issues that is on administrative leave assists her. While it was an interesting read, it was also too predictable. However, there was one mystery left unsolved, so there might be a sequel. I doubt I will read it. ( )
