Work detailsAn Intermediate Greek-English Lexicon by Henry George Liddell
None. Sufficient depth for all but the most demanding reader. Unless you reading Greek is all you, i.e. you are a classicist, not an historian, this is most likely more than enough for your purposes. The pages can be a bit hard to decipher depending on the printing you have, as the new editions are simply photocopies. Liddell was the father of Alice Liddell, the Alice of "Alice in Wonderland." The definitive ancient Greek-English dictionary, and it never goes out of date. There's no other Greek lexicon like it. Many entries include phrases from Sophocles, Demosthenes, Homer, and Thucydides. no reviews | add a review
