I've never read the original Little Nemo comics by Winsor McCay but I was familiar with the concept of the story. I found a lot of the comics to be very beautifully illustrated, some jaw-droppingly so, I wouldn't mind using some of them as wall art. However, I think I would have preferred more whimsical and lightheartedness compared to many of these comics being dark, edgy, dramatic, and paralleling real life which had me disinterested and annoyed. Enjoyable to an extent but didn't capture the childhood quality of imagination that I was hoping for. More like adult imagination. ( )

Jones, Denis Kitchen, Stephen Bissette, Ronald Wimberly, P. Craig Russell, Gabriel Bá and Fábio Moon, among many others.
