Elias Canetti's collection of writings, published posthumously, is about the time he spent in the UK during WW II. While it is not as captivating as his first three autobiographic books, it is filled with interesting stories, viewpoints and not least details about other famous writers, such as Iris Murdoch. For Canetti enthusiasts, it really is a must-read. For those unfamiliar with his writing, I'd recommend the reading of the first three autobiographies first. Or, if you want the real deal, try "The Blinding", his only novel, which is really quite brilliant. no reviews | add a review
