It also contains a lot of information for children to learn. 'The Popcorn Book' by Tomie dePaola is a story about two brothers that ask their mom if there is any popcorn in the house that they can pop. The mom tells them that it is in the refridgerator, which is odd to them. The boys look up the history of popcorn to answer their question and tell the history of popcorn. The book shows all of the different cultures that popcorn came from and describe in detail the story of corn and how it became popcorn. The boys end up putting too much corn in the pot and have popcorn overflowing in the kitchen. The story ends with the boys saying that the best part of popcorn is that it's good to eat. This story by dePaola is a great fun, informational and multicultural book. GRL N,5 copies GRL N,5 copies no reviews | add a review

This book is strictly about popcorn. It is a very informative book with tons of information on popcorn. How to preserve it, how to keep it fresh, where it came from, etc.
Cute book and would be fun to pop popcorn for the class after. (
