For Noah Mackie, life is finally back on track. He has a great support system, a promised promotion is on its way, and he's finally getting the hang of this single father thing. But when the job falls through and his neighbor's matchmaking efforts become more aggressive, Noah is in for yet another unwanted detour. With his career and two spirited daughters to worry about, he doesn't have time for dating--especially not someone like Cassie Ellis, his girls' beautiful and sophisticated dance instructor, who is about as open and approachable as a brick wall.-- Back cover.… (more)

This addition to the growing Perfect Match series is the perfect blend of everything you'd expect. It starts with the introduction of a leading lady (Cassie) that's been lead a bit too much, lost more than anyone could know, and is just trying to find her bearings once again. Next, we meet our leading man (Noah), or at least our potential leading man if he can ever get her answer to his all important question of what her favorite flavor of ice cream is. Trust me, it's important. ^_^ Following the intros, we get to know each where they were, where they are, and where they each believe they are going. Yeah...BELIEVE is the operative word here because life as we all know can only be anticipated, prepared for, but never TRULY expected. Case in point proven here and what neither was looking for, just might be found if they can get on the same page, push past their insecurities and uncover what they want before the moment passes them bye. Do they in fact? Well now, I can't tell you that. That's like spilling the beans on the ending before the show has even begun! Suffice it to say that you'll enjoy every minute of it....because I know I sure did.

Rachael Anderson has become one of my favorite authors because her books are not only good, but she allows her characters to feel real and engaging. Relationships are tough, so I can empathize with Cassie to some degree. When someone doesn't appreciate the real you and forces you to change, it strips away your confidence and feelings of self-worth.

While I can't relate to the empty feelings related to losing a spouse you love, I do love the fact that Noah doesn't dwell on the past. His mind is in the present state where he needs to be. He thinks about the future--what's best for his girls. But he's good about letting Cassie know that she's got to decide what she wants. Only she knows what will truly make her happy and he's not going to force her hand.

Love isn't just sacrifice. Love is the unrestricted freedom to be yourself. ( )

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book to review and enjoyed it very much. It was a a great read. I loved all the small details in the book, the things about Irish dancing and contracting. It's the small things that make characters become people.

I would definitely recommend this one for people who like romance novels that aren't too sappy. Like me. ( )
