"In the great game of life, there is baseball, and there is everything else."

Pretty much sums up the atmosphere this kindle single evokes.

Journalist Abe Streep followed what was arguably the worst professional baseball team in 2012 - the Santa Fe Fuego of the Pecos Independent League.

If you have ever attended a minor league game, or even watched Bull Durham once or twice you will really enjoy this. It reminds you why baseball remains so embedded in American culture. It's the most democratic of sports, one in which the average person can still imagine themselves playing.

Well written in a journalistic style...guaranteed it will put a smile on your face.. ( )
