Large format picture book shows where Shalom is said all over Israel. Bright, bold illustrations.

The book is almost poetic in the sense that it flows together through rhyming. It teaches you about Israel. Cute book. In the back you can learn even more about Israel through the "Around and About in Israel" section. ( )

This book entails the meaning of Shalom in the Hebrew language. It is based in Israel and a gecko explains how and when people say Shalom. In the end of the book, the author gives a short description about the famous places in Israel.

This book is a tour of parts of Israel. I like that it begins with a language piece, saying the different meanings of Shalom and then continues to tell more about the history and culture of Israel. I think it would be an interesting book for children to learn more about another countries. I like that the book rhymes and is easy to read for children. I also loved the lively illustrations that pair with the words on each page. I think this would be an enjoyable book for young children to read or be read. ( )
