An enjoyable set of short stories that give you a break from all the Christmas rush. A good thing to read in spurts as it is split up into four sections. I would recommend this to readers.

I really enjoy this book so much. Each story tells differently how the circle of friends moved to one place to grow business together and have new life with a guy - fun to read... ( )

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

All four of these stories were very, very short. I feel like I didn't get a real opportunity to fully get to know any of the characters in this book because the authors were trying to condense an entire story arc into fifty pages or less.

They tend to follow a pretty generic story pattern. We meet the girl, the girl meets the boy, the boy finds the girl obscenely attractive and starts liking her, they get together stupidly fast with very little plot advancement or story development or character growth (with the exception of one character) and then the boy decides to drop his life plans and move to this tiny town in the middle of godforsaken nowhere in order to maintain their relationship.

They're cute and kind of fluffy and don't really delve too deeply into anything too serious. You don't spend long enough with any one character to really feel invested in their life or anything that happens to them. There's occasionally some forced dramatics and characters overreact and don't communicate with each other.

There are some pretty stupid lines but also some slightly adorable ones and I'm not entirely sure if they balance each other out completely but the stories are so short it's not like you're investing a huge amount of time into them either way.

This review is also posted on GoodReads. ( )
