What do you do when you find yourself alone in a place you have no desire to be? Callie finds herself in that predicament when her brother and his family all die leaving her with all of their worldly possessions in a covered wagon on the trail leading west. Callie is told to find a husband and makes her choice from single men in the wagon train. Will her choice prove to be a wise one? Will the man she has chosen be able to protect her? Will she and John find love together?

This is the second book in the “Hot on the Trail” series and, in my opinion, better than the first. I enjoyed the slow building and growth of the relationship between John and Callie and would like to thank Badass Marketing for the copy of this book to read and review. ( )
