A GALA EVENT is the latest in the Orchard Mystery series by Shelia Connolly.
There was very little discussion of the actual ‘gala event’ (Seth and Meg’s wedding).
There was so little description and planning details that I’m not sure it actually took place!
The book was an extremely slow read and all of the plot points very unrealistic. I need a bit more to the story to keep up my interest - come on, a bit of a puzzle. Everything to do with Meg and Seth’s ‘cold case investigation’ was implausible. I was very disappointed.
I like the series and keeping up with the characters, but the books are supposed to be ‘mysteries’. ( )
