An alligator named Cornelius finds the joy in being different and trying new things. ( )

Cornelius is different than the other crocodiles on the riverbeach. It takes some time away and new friendships to realize that different is okay. Like many of Lionni's other stories, there is always some optimism waiting around the corner. Which is one reason why I love his stories. ( )
