"Start Developing iOS Apps Today" is the tutorial that comes with Xcode, Apple's integrated development environment (IDE). It gives an overview of the Xcode environment and Objective C by showing people how to build a simple to-do list mobile app.

At roughly 140 pages (diagrams take up many half pages), "Start Developing iOS Apps Today" is simply a short guide. It introduces the concepts behind Xcode's MVC model and walks through some sample code. It is not a comprehensive guide by far, but given its accessibility (it lives within Xcode's Help section), it's a nifty way to get your feet wet whenever you have a day free. ( )
