Book description
Caroline Abbott loves sailing on Lake Ontario with her father, a master shipbuilder.  But when the War of 1812 breaks out, the British take Papa prisioner.  Caroline tries to help MM keep the family shipyard running and pitches in to defend her village.  Abover all, she is determined to help Papa escape - even if it means a dangerious trip to an enemy fort.  As Christmas approaches, Caroline struggles to stay steady without Papa.  Will rash decisions put her and her friends on thin ice?
