Lovely illustrations - text reminds me of Runaway Bunny ( )
  melodyreads | May 3, 2018 |
For lapsit story time, encourage grown-ups to interact with their babies by making a motion or sound for each animal, then cuddling. For example, wiggle your nose or touch baby's nose for the bunny, bounce and kick like the kangaroo, face outward and look around the room like the lizard, howl like the wolf, meow like the kitten, oink like the pig.

For toddler story time, encourage the children to make these motions or sounds themselves, or give them a stuffed animal to cuddle.

The world can seem like a big, bewildering place for new babies—fortunately, their mamas know just how to soothe and comfort them. Through enchanting scenes portraying all kinds of mama animals looking out for their little ones, the mother in this story reassures her baby, and young children everywhere, that their caretakers will always love them and keep them safe.
