I listened to the abridged audio version of this book during daily commutes and found it ideal for this usage. The work itself is excellent, and the abridgement did not noticeably affect the story. Further, the narrator (performer), Michael Beck is truly excellent. He renders voices of the various characters with distinct differences, and is skillful in his use of accents, especially those of the deep South. I took the unusual course of reading the book in between listening to the audio version, and the experience made both more enjoyable. I highly recommend both the printed version and the audio version, and am sure that those who like legal thrillers and the works of John Grisham will enjoy them both. ( )

They watched Danilo Silva for days before they finally grabbed him. He was living alone, a quiet life on a shady street in a small town in Brazil; a simple life in a modest home, certainly not one of luxury. Certainly no evidence of the fortune they thought he had stolen. He was much thinner and his face had been altered. He spoke a different language, and spoke it very well. ( )
