This cookbook not only contains some excellent historical recipes known throughout New Orleans and served in the historic Brennan's restaurant (known for its creole cuisine) but also a history of the Brennan family. This is the 1964 edition I found at a bookstore near New Orleans several years ago and I have found that there have been several revised editions in subsequent years. I don't know what has changed in new volumes but this edition contains a lot of excellent recipes, most of which are not overly difficult to make. In fact many, if not most, of the recipes are fairly simple. I haven't tried all of them but the ones I have tried turned out excellently. ( )no reviews | add a review
