This book gives a good overview of basic thoughts in Judaism, with an interest towards self-improvement (mussar). My biggest issue with this book is that I'm more of a rational/logical thinker, so I'm no inclined to accept Rambam's views on mussar, the human condition and make-up (one soul - 5 functions, but still one soul) vs Kabbalah (mysticism and superstition).
