This was a very enjoyable, and self-reflective book. It was a quick easy-to-read mix of so many good things. First, I enjoyed the unique blend of Amish/non-Amish characters. Second, I loved the message it displayed about not having to conform to someone else’s beliefs or expectations of you unless it is your choice to do so. And third, I absolutely loved the message of acceptance and looking beyond the outward appearance to see others through “special eyes”—Jesus’ eyes.
This author has a way of reaching deep for some great lessons and then putting those lessons and actions into words that will touch your heart. When a twist in the story showed up, I never thought it would take my heart to the place that it did. ( )
