The book connects different pieces of art throughout history to the stories contained within them and surrounding their creation. It explores and shows art pieces from a wide variety of mediums, cultures, and time periods and for each piece has a related art project far a child to make.
The design of the book is innovative in that images of the art pieces are presented on the left side of facing pages and there is a flap that folds over the second half of the right page from the outer edge. On the top side of the flap is information about the piece shown to the left and when unfolded shows potential kid's art activities related to the piece. ( )
