Out Of Centerfield is a sports romance written by L. Mertz. Kelsey is the granddaughter of a famous baseball player. Not only is he famous for his career as a baseball player, he also owns a baseball team. Every day she's surrounded by the sport of baseball and she loves it. Butch wants what's best for his granddaughter. So when the charming Jonathan gets signed on, he knows they would be a match made in Heaven. Can he get the two together or will his efforts to make his granddaughter happy be useless?

I really loved this book. It was cute and funny. It was witty and intense. It was sad and emotional. It even had a bit of dark and suspenseful moments. It covered just about all of the bases. The characters were lovable and easy to connect to and understand. It was very easy to literally imagine myself in all of the settings of the book.

There wasn't much I really didn't like about this book. The only things I didn't like was that I wanted certain parts explained a little more in detail. I also didn't want the story to end. I wanted it to keep going. In my opinion, this is just me being a sap for long emotional stories more than it is criticisms. Other than that, there wasn't anything wrong with it that I could see.

I fully recommend this book. It is a cute romantic read. I didn't think I'd like it at first. I thought it would be just a cheesy story. I gave it a chance anyways. I'm glad I did. It definitely proved me wrong. It had a unique story about it and it was easy to sink into. I'm glad that I was given the chance to read this book and I hope that I'll be able to read the rest of the series when they are released. ( )
