It is hard to believe that the new fad is coloring books for adults. I remember when I was a child, that coloring was the thing you did in kindergarten and at home when you are wanting to make pretty pictures for your parents.it seems that now there is a new way to relieve the stresses of life as an adult by coloring.

The book is filled with intricate designs that could become beautiful works of art. The designs are nice and would appeal to many people. I had a problem really being able to decide if it was a great book because I only received it in kindle form. In order to be fair to the book, I needed to be able to actually color a few pages to see how I liked the details of the pictures. There is a kid in all of us, who I'm sure at times would like to color again and the book does give you many different pictures to choose from. Overall I'm sure this therapeutic way of relieving stress appeals to some, but I can't say how it affected me since I was only able to look at the book and not actually use it.

I received a copy of this book from Librarything for an honest review ( )

What a spectacular book! I have so many happy memories of coloring this sort of design as a girl. We did not call coloring stress relief in those days, but I colored a lot while doing other things or listening to music or watching TV. I won this as an e-book, but I saw it in the bookstore. The paper is nice and medium weight and the designs are only on one side. Therefore, you can use markers or colored pencils or even Flair tips or gel pens with this book! My favorites are the lacey delicate, circular doily type drawings but I like all the designs. If you don't have as much time, try the simpler geometric designs and when you have more time, there are some harder ones to color. This would be a super holiday present for anyone! Not sure the fun of coloring has to be related to stress, but that is trendy topic right now. No matter what, this is a very nice version of the adult coloring book and I highly recommend. Thanks, LibraryThing member giveaways for the book!.

I won a copy of this book from LibraraThing.

The patterns presented in this book are great!
I only colored a few so far, but had a lot of fun with each of them!
I can't wait to get to the rest of them.
Coloring has always helped me relax my mind.
This collection of color pages helps me do just that. ( )
