Heritage of Shannara was a fairly predictable Fantasy series. I was somewhat dissapointed that they only really accomplished one major objective which seemed a bit drawn out. I think the problem is that I'm probably a bit older than the target audience and am somewhat jaded when it comes to Fantasy. I'd recommend reading the original trilogy over this one if you haven't already. ( )

Terry Brooks is a brilliant author. This was my first book by him and I am now hooked. Harry Potter has nothing on this. The characters are brilliantly conveyed and "real". I absolutely loved Par and Coll. Very good read and I highly recommend this book. ( )
