A heavy oversize coffee table style book filled with hundreds of photos of Frank Sinatra. Most of the photos are from the recording studio or concert tours - there are very few candid photos or photos with the family. The book also featured an afterward by each of three Sinatra children. I liked the book but was a bit disappointed - many of the photos were very small and how many contact sheets did we really need to see? I also thought the text for the captions for the photos was a bit too small making it hard to read. The book is mainly photos with very little text and all Sinatra fans will love it. ( )

This is an amazing collection of photographs, some rarely seen and some probably never seen outside of the Sinatra family. With all of the different settings you really get a glimpse of Ol’ Blue Eye’s life, from his early days in New York to his beginnings in the music business, (and everybody in the recording studio in suits,) to his movie career and his work with the Summit, as he preferred to call it, and to his later days as an American icon. This hefty tome is a definite must have for any fan of Frank.
