Joshua Bedford’s book, weShine, is a devotional, organized into eight chapters that are easily followed. It is a simple, yet insightful, study by a young man on what it means to follow Christ.
He encourages the Christian’s growth in developing a closer relationship with Christ. The essential wisdom and understanding imparted through study of the Bible advances the Christian’s growth in the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy peace, patience, kindness... Gal. 5:22.... The Holy Spirit illuminates the believer as he/she walks in obedience; to the end that Christians are to be lights in the world. Biblical texts are used illustrate his statements on the Christian walk throughout the book.
“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the World, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.” John 8: 12 (ESV)
The appendix of Bible verses is very useful for memorizing texts, and for a reference in reading the Bible. The book is recommended for the new and the veteran Christian.
