Not a lot to add to what others have said about this book, other than how depressed it made me feel when you realise just what the Camorra have done to the economy and people of Southern Italy, especially in the Campania region.
This is not the glorified mafia families of Hollywood film legend, but the horrifying truth of the vice like grip that these people have over a whole region of Italy. There does not seem to be any pie that they don’t have their fingers in, or any family in the region that is not affected by them in some way or another.

As another reviewer said, it is not a light and fluffy beach read, although ironically I did read it whilst on holiday, but a fascinating investigation into the far reaching consequences of the power of the Camorra.
