Bear brings over his stuff and they set out to camp in the living room. With camping needs, they pretend to be in the forest. Franklin's father takes them outside and sets up a fire. The three roast marshmellows for a while and munch. Franklin's father puts out the fire and Franklin and Bear prepare for bed. Bear misses his room, so the two sleep in Franklin's room, so Bear feels more comfortable. The following morning, they have breakfast and Bear speaks of Franklin sleeping at his house. Franklin makes the pun, that he always has a bed, knocking his shell. I loved this book. The artwork is quite intricate, surprisingly, and I have a soft spot for dancing characters, which happens several times within the story, both Bear and Franklin take their spotlight. As a matter of fact, i gave this book 5 stars because of their joyful displays. Clever humor is snuck into this book and makes it quite enjoyable. The story can relate to a childs first sleepover rather accurately, along with all the joys and fears that come with it. ( )no reviews | add a review
